Redmi 9A new variant opted for the Helio G25 processor. It’s a brand-new chipset from MediaTek’s G-series, which aims towards gamers.
Xiaomi has launched a new Redmi 9A smartphone in Nepal, featuring a 6.53-inch touchscreen display with 720×1600 pixels resolution. Meanwhile, the latest variant has 3GB of RAM, compared to 2GB on the old variant, that came alongside the Redmi 9 in 2020.
Design and Display
The phone features a 6.53-inch IPS LCD with 1600×720 pixel HD+ resolution. It’s an HD+ display with a brightness of 400 nits.
As for design, the Redmi 9A has a refined style with a textured rear. It has a dewdrop notch on the front, with minimal bezels and a slim chin. The back panel has been kept clean as it lacks a fingerprint sensor. Meanwhile, the Redmi 9A measures 164.90 x 77.07 x 9.00mm and weighs 194.00 grams. As for the color option, you can find it in Midnight Grey, Peacock Green, and Twilight Blue shades.
Performance and Memory
The phone runs MIUI 12 based on Android 10 and is powered by a 2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio G25 CPU. It features a brand-new chipset from MediaTek’s G-series which aims towards gamers. Meanwhile, the Helio G25 is an octa-core processor with 12nm manufacturing technology. It is made up of eight 2.0 GHz ARM Cortex-A53 cores. Furthermore, the graphics are handled by the Imagination PowerVR GE8320.
The phone has a memory capacity of up to 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Whereas the variant Redmi 9A comes with has 2/3GB RAM and 32GB ROM.
Camera
The Redmi 9A has a 13-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture on the back. And a 5-megapixel camera on the front with an f/2.2 aperture for selfies.
Battery and Others
The Redmi 9A sports a 5,000mAh battery. There is a micro USB charging port, but it can only handle 10W of power.
As for connectivity options, it includes Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, FM radio, 3G, and 4G with active 4G on both SIM cards. Additionally, it supports face unlock.
