Smart Cheli has announced the opening of the application for their “म र मेरो COMPUTER, तपाईको छोरीको लागि”, winter program on January 20, 2022. It is a two-week basic coding training for young females between the ages of 10 and 14. Young girls will learn basic coding concepts, algorithm development, and game programming in this program.
About Smart Cheli
SMART CHELI is a female-led social enterprise dedicated to achieving gender balance in STEM. They have been reaching young girls aged 10-19, through Mentorship and STEAM-based programs. Initially, Smart Cheli held virtual workshops in July 2020, when all schools, colleges, and other academic institutions were forced to close because of the Covid-19 epidemic. After that, they have been creating programs like STEAM AddhyanShala and STEM Mentorship Program.
Moreover, they started SMART CHELI with the goal of closing the gender gap in STEM fields in Nepal. Their goal is to improve critical thinking skills, develop their imaginations and problem-solving abilities, and expose them to STEM from a young age.
Smart Cheli 2-week basic coding training Program Overview
Smart Cheli 2-week basic coding training program will cover the Basic Coding Concept, Algorithm Development, and Computational Thinking and Development. The program’s major goal is to educate young females who are confused about STEM fields owing to misconceptions. They will teach basic coding ideas and the advantages of incorporating technology into our daily lives through these programs.
How to apply?
The application for the Smart Cheli 2-week basic coding training “म र मेरो COMPUTER, तपाईको छोरीको लागि”, is already available on the SmartCheli Facebook Page. You can also apply by clicking here. The program will begin on January 28, 2022, which implies you can apply until January 27, 2022. You will have two 2-hour lessons per day, starting at 3 p.m. and ending at 5 p.m.
Requirements
This program is aimed mostly at young girls between the ages of 10 and 14. You can apply for them if your children are of this age and are interested in learning new things over the winter holidays. You must complete and submit the form. Following your selection, you must pay a cost of Rs. 3,000.
