ASUS ROG Magic X convertible tablets with Intel Core i9-12900H chip goes official

Asus has unveiled the latest 2-in-1 notebook with an Intel 12th generation Core i9-12900H chip CPU. The ASUS ROG Magic X tablet is now available for pre-order. Because of its 2-in-1 design, the device serves several purposes. For instance, it can be used as a traditional laptop when the keyboard is attached. But when the keyboard is removed, the device becomes a tablet. Moreover, the 13-inch display on the ROG Magic X comes in two sizes: 4K with a 60Hz refresh rate or Full HD with a 120Hz refresh rate. Design and Display

 The 12mm thick 2-in-1 notebook weighing 1.2 kilograms serves the purpose of both laptop and tablet. If the keyboard is attached to the device, it can be used as a regular laptop. When the keyboard is removed, the device becomes a tablet. 

For the 13-inch display, ROG Magic X offers two options: 4K with a 60Hz refresh rate or Full HD with a 120Hz refresh rate. Corning Gorilla Glass technology protects the screen. The screen has a 16:10 aspect ratio and a brightness rating of 500 nits. Furthermore, the screen is compatible with Adaptive-Sync, Dolby Vision HDR, and has passed Pantone Color Certification.

 Performance and Memory

The ROG Magic X is available in three different performance configurations: Intel Core i5-12500H, Core i7-12700H, or Core i9-12900H. Meanwhile, the Core i7-12700H and Core i9-12900H are partnered with GeForce RTX 3050 and GeForce RTX 3050Ti graphics cards. Furthermore, it comes with up to 16GB of LPDDR5@5200MHz RAM and up to 1TB of PCIe 4x4SSD storage. The notebook is compatible with the XG Mobile Docking Station, which contains an NVIDIA GeForce 3080 GPU that can handle demanding workloads for gamers and professionals.

Battery and Rest of the specs

A 56Wh battery powers the ROG Magic X with support for 100W charging. It contains a USB Type-A port, USB 3.2 port for Type-C, DP1.4, and PD Charging capabilities. Furthermore, there is a Thunderbolt 4 port, a 3.5 mm audio jack and micro card readers, and Windows Hello integration in the power button for fingerprint detection.

The ASUS ROG Magic X, the company’s latest slim and light 2-in-1 notebook, is now available for pre-order in China, starting at CNY 8,999 for the Core i5 variant. Similarly, the Core i7 variant costs CNY 11,499, while the i9 variant costs CNY 13,499. Meanwhile, the ROG Magic X is likely the most powerful model in this category.
