Google is expected to release the Google Pixel 6a, a mid-range smartphone with its Tensor chipset later this year.
The Google Pixel 6a could make its debut at the 2022 Google event. Following the success of the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, it appears that a budget version of Google’s flagship phone will be released. If reports are true, the Google Pixel 6a will be released alongside the much-anticipated Google Pixel Watch. We’ll look at the Google Pixel 6a’s specifications in this post.

The Pixel 6A is expected to have the same fundamental design as the Pixel 6-series except for the Tensor chipset. Similarly, the phone is likely to have the same two-tone color scheme as the Pixel 6 series, and a horizontal camera strip. The phone is expected to have a 6.2-inch OLED display with 152.2 x 71.8 x 8.7mm dimensions. Meanwhile, there will be a conventional 60Hz AMOLED display with a punch-hole cutout on the front. In addition, the phone will include an in-display fingerprint scanner, which will be the first for the Pixel A-series. Besides that, the Pixel 6a is rumored to have the same fundamental design as the Pixel 6-series.
Optical Features
On the rear of the phone, there will be a triple camera setup featuring a 12.2MP Sony IMX363 primary sensor. The 12.2MP primary lens will be joined by a 12MP Sony IMX355 ultrawide sensor and an unknown IMX386 sensor. It will also have an 8MP front-facing selfie camera.
Performance and Memory
According to rumors, the Pixel 6a will include Google’s Tensor chipset, which is designed to enable advanced capabilities like Live Translation. The phone is expected to have 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128 GB internal storage. Meanwhile, the phone is likely to run Android 12 out of the box.

Google Pixel 6a Price and Availability
There has been no official word on when the Google Pixel 6a will be released. However, the Pixel 6a is expected to debut in May 2022, around the time of Google’s annual IO 2022 event. Google has yet to make the show and release date official.
