Redmi has now unveiled the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition, the company’s flagship product for 2022. Following the launch of the mid-range Note 11 series last month. The smartphones include Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, “Dual VC” heat dissipation technology, and 120W fast charging capabilities. Display and Design
The 6.67-inch AMOLED panel on the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition has a 120Hz refresh rate and 480Hz touch sampling rate. It has a 10-bit screen with FHD+ resolution, DisplayMate A+ certification, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection, as well as DisplayMate A+ certification.
In low-light circumstances, the panel also incorporates a 1920Hz high-frequency Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) dimming feature that decreases the pain produced by strobes on the eyes. Moving on to performance, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoCs power the Redmi K50 Gaming. It comes with IO Turbo and has dual VC cooling with a 4,860mm square heat dissipation area. Moreover, thermal management users can also purchase Redmi’s special metal heat dissipation magnetic shell. Likewise, the phone boots on Android 12 based MIUI 13.
In terms of memory, it has 8/12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128/256GB of inbuilt UFS 3.1 storage.
Camera
The 64MP Sony IMX686 sensor and a 6P lens are the centerpieces of the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition smartphones’ triple back camera configuration. According to Redmi, it will produce stunning night photos and capture images with a maximum resolution of 9,248×6,944 pixels.
The preeminent sensor is a Sony IMX686 with a resolution of 64 megapixels. A 12-megapixel ultrawide camera with a 120-degree field of view and a 2-megapixel macro camera are incorporated. The Redmi K50 Gaming Edition smartphones have a four-unit JBL speaker, magnetic power pop-up shoulder key 2.0, and CyberEngine ultra-wideband X-axis motor. It’s worth noting that it’s an Android smartphone’s largest haptics motor.
Moreover, On the audio front, the phone boasts a quad-speaker arrangement with a one-one woofer and tweeter combo on each side. JBL has adjusted it, and it supports Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio.

Price and availability
The 8/128GB model of the K50 Gaming Edition costs CNY 3,299 in China. If and when the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition comes in Nepal, we predict it to cost around NPR 70,000.
Furthermore, the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Edition costs CNY 4199 and comes in only one configuration: 12GB+256GB. This unique model, Xiaomi claims, will be limited to only 10,000 units and will go on sale on February 18.
