Motorola has launched its latest flagship smartphone Moto Edge X30 in China a short time ago. At the same time, Motorola became the first smartphone manufacturer to commercially launch a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 powered device by releasing Edge X30. Meanwhile, we have all been waiting for its global release. However, rumors claim that the smartphone will be released on February 24, while not officially verified. In the meantime, we will have to wait a little longer for it to arrive in Nepal.

The Motorola Moto Edge X30 comes with a 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. Similarly, it will have a triple rear camera arrangement of 50MP, 50MP, and 2MP. Meanwhile, you will get a 5,000mAh battery with 68W fast charging. In addition, there will be 12GB of RAM, 256GB of internal memory, and Android 12 out of the box. Design and Display
The Edge X30 has a 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 576Hz touch-sampling rate. Similarly, the screen is HDR10+ certified with a 10-bit color depth. It also boasts an FDH+ resolution of 2400 x 1080 and a 20:9 aspect ratio.
On the other hand, the Moto Edge X30is 163.56 x 75.95 x 8.49 mm in dimensions and weighs 194 grams. Likewise, the phone has a punch-hole cutout in the center. However, Motorola has also released a Special Edition with an under-display camera and a seamless display. In addition, the Moto Edge X30 is dust and splash-resistant, with an IP52 rating.
Optical Features
The Moto Edge X30 features a triple rear camera arrangement. It has a 50MP primary camera with 1/1.5-inch OmniVision and OIS for stable video recording. Similarly, a 50MP ultra-wide camera with a 117 degree Field of View and a 2MP depth sensor joins the primary camera to complete the setup. In addition, the back camera can record 8K films and 960fps slow-motion at 960 frames per second. Moreover, a 60MP selfie camera on the front helps capture beautiful pictures.
Performance
The Moto Edge X30 is the first phone to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. At the same time, the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 offers a 20% increase in CPU performance and a 30% increase in GPU performance compared to Snapdragon 888/888+. Furthermore, the phone comes with 8/12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128 or 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage. Meanwhile, you can choose from three memory options: 8/128GB, 8/256GB, and 12/256GB.
Software and Connectivity:
On the software front, the device runs Motorola’s MYUI 3.0 based on Android 12. Moreover, the connectivity options on the Moto Edge X30 include dual-SIM card support, 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, hotspot, Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC, A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port.

Motorola is gearing up for the global launch of its new Edge-series smartphone on February 24. Though the name hasn’t been revealed, it’s safe to presume it’ll be the Moto Edge X30, which will be released in the global market. Meanwhile, it costs between CYN 3,199 and 3,999 in China, depending on the Memory configuration. Similarly, we estimate the price of the Moto Edge X30 to be between NPR 70,000 and NPR 85,000 in Nepal.

Although there is the possibility of renaming the device for a global launch, the smartphone’s features are likely to be similar to those of the Moto Edge X30.
