Poco announced the global launch of POCO M4 Pro 4G in an ongoing MWC 2022 event. As you may recall, POCO introduced the 5G version of the Poco M4 Pro in November 2021. However, the 4G version of the Poco M4 Pro has different hardware. Similarly, the POCO M4 Pro 4G is the first M-series phone to use a sAMOLED display. Meanwhile, the POCO M4 Pro 4G has already been released in India and Europe. Here’s a quick summary of the Poco M4 Pro’s 4G variant.
POCO M4 Pro 4G Overview
The POCO M4 Pro 4G is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging. Similarly, it comes with a 90Hz AMOLED display, MediaTek Helio G96 chipset, and a 64MP triple cameras configuration. Design and Display:
Despite numerous changes, the design of the POCO M4 Pro 4G seems to be very comparable to that of the M4 Pro 5G. The phone has a camera island on the back and a punch-hole screen on the front. Meanwhile, it also has a rectangular camera bump enclosed inside a big black envelope with a “Poco” branding. The phone is 73.87 x 159.87 x 8.09 mm in dimensions and weighs 179.5 grams. The M4 Pro 4G has IP53 water and dust resistance, much like the 5G version.
Furthermore, the M4 Pro 4G features a 6.43-inch Super AMOLED display. The display has a 90Hz refresh rate and a 180Hz touch sampling rate. Likewise, it has a Full HD+ 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution and a peak brightness of 1000 nits. Furthermore, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protects the panel. In addition, the display has SGS Seamless and Eye Care certification.
Optical Features:
Unlike the 5G model, which has a dual-camera arrangement, the M4 Pro 4G has a triple camera setup at the back. It has a 64MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and the gimmicky 2MP macro sensor. Meanwhile, it is worth noting that this is the first M-series phone to feature a 64MP sensor. Similarly, there is a 16MP sensor on the front for selfies and video chat.
Performance and Memory:
The POCO M4 Pro 4G is powered by a MediaTek Helio G96 processor. It is an octa-core processor with two Cortex-A76 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores. Handling the graphics is Mali G57 MC2 GPU. Furthermore, the phone has up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. Meanwhile, the phone enables virtual RAM expansion up to 11GB and microSD card storage expansion up to 1TB.
Software and Connectivity
Out of the box, the device runs MIUI 13 for Poco based on Android 11. Similarly, it support Dual-SIM 4G, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual-band), Bluetooth 5.0, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C 2.0 for connectivity.

The POCO M4 Pro 4G starts at EUR 219 for a 6GB/128GB storage option. Similarly, the 8GB/256GB variant cost EUR 269. Meanwhile, we estimate the cost of POCO M4 Pro 4G to be around NPR 35,000 to NPR 40,000 in Nepal.
