According to tipster Abhishek Yadav was shared on the official OnePlus Support Twitter account in response to a user’s question. The information revealed that OnePlus offers a five-year security patch commitment and four years of Android updates for its devices.
This means that the OnePlus 11R 5G smartphone will receive Android 17 when it becomes available, demonstrating a significant commitment from the company. This software upgrade puts the OnePlus 11R 5G on par with the more expensive OnePlus 11 5G, which both come with OxygenOS 13 based on Android 13 preloaded.
Built & Display
The design of the OnePlus 11R has been updated to resemble the more expensive OnePlus 11. The phone features a circular metallic construction with a “flowing K-shaped light and shadow” pattern, a rear camera bulge, and an IR blaster on the top.
The alert slider, a defining feature of OnePlus phones, has been added to the 11R. The phone has a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 720Hz touch sampling rate, 1.5K pixel resolution, HDR10+ certification, and a built-in fingerprint sensor.

Performance
It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip with overclocked CPU cores and comes with 512GB UFS 3.1 storage and up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM. It has a 5177 sq. m eight-channel VC cooling system for improved heat dissipation of 92% for gamers and a 6355 sq. m phase-change graphene for large-area heat dissipation.
The phone also features a specialized visual chip and a custom super-frame super-picture engine, allowing it to run over 100 games at 120 frames per second with smoother performance thanks to HyperBoost 2.0.
Camera
The OnePlus 11R features a triple camera setup on the back, including a 50MP Sony IMX890 main camera with optical image stabilization and the ability to capture 4K videos at 60 frames per second.
The phone also has an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera using OmniVision image sensors, and a 16MP selfie camera located in a punch-hole on the front that can shoot 1080p films at 30 frames per second.
Battery & Other Features
Fueling the device a dual-cell 5,000mAh battery powers the device. Although the 150W charging on the OnePlus 10R was a standout feature, the company reduced it to 100W for its successor.
