Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 Overview
After the successful launch of the Galaxy S23 Series, there are rumors about Samsung’s next flagships—foldable had already begun to surface. In this article, we will learn some features, specifications, expected price, and launch date of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5.
Design & Display
The flagship smartphone is expected to leak with dummy models indicating that it will not have a gapless design when closed. Unlike the previous model (Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4), the Flip 5 will not feature the teardrop mechanism. Likewise, it appears that the Flip 5 will not have an IP68 rating, but both the Z Flip 5 and Z Fold 5 are said to have an IPX8 rating similar to their predecessors.
As for the display, we expect it to offer an upgraded larger outer screen, measuring around 3.4 inches compared to the current 1.9-inch 260×512 panel, with a higher resolution. It is said to be available in four different color options – Cream, Graphite, Lavender, and Water Green.

Performance & Cameras
Powering the devices is expected to be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, Qualcomm’s flagship 4nm Octa-core processor. The processor is rumored to include a Cortex-X3 core clocked at 3.2GHz, two Cortex-A715 cores at 2.8GHz, two Cortex-A710 cores at 2.8GHz, and three Cortex-A510 cores at 2.0GHz. As the rumors, it is said that the clock speeds might be slightly higher than the standard Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
For the Camera setup, it’s likely that Samsung will continue with a dual-camera setup of 12MP+12MP, similar to its predecessors. On the front, there will likely be a 10MP shooter, just like the previous model.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 Launch Date
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 is expected to launch on the 26th of July during Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event in Seoul, South Korea. We expect it to come with 256GB and 512GB variants starting at EUR 1,199 and EUR 1,339 respectively.
