Vivo V29 Lite Overview
Brands such as OPPO, Vivo, Realme, and OnePlus, are currently all focused on rebranding their products. The latest addition by BBK Electronics (the parent company of all the above brands) launched the Vivo V29 Lite which is the rebranded model of the “Vivo Y78 5G” in the European market. Built & Display
The device has adopted Vivo’s signature 3D arc design, boasting a slim profile with a thickness of just 7.9mm. The back panel is made of plastic with a seven-layer nano-level coating, creating a jade porcelain texture. The phone is available in two different color options – Black and Gold.
For display, it fluent a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate which is similar to the Vivo Y78 5G. It offers a Full HD+ resolution, a peak brightness of 1300 nits, and supports a wide color gamut, including 100% P3 and 105% NTSC.

Performance & Memory
Powering the device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G chipset which brings a 6nm process. It features two Cortex-A78 performance cores clocked at up to 2.2 GHz, along with six Cortex-A55 efficient cores clocked at up to 1.7 GHz. Thanks to Adreno 619 GPU the device has a smooth performance. As for memory and storage, the European variant is available in a single configuration of 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
Cameras
In terms of camera capabilities, it has a triple-camera setup. The primary camera is a 64MP shooter with optical image stabilization (OIS), while the other two lenses include a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, there is a 16MP selfie camera housed within a hole-punch cutout. It’s worth noting that the phone cannot record 4K videos due to limitations imposed by the chipset.

Final Thoughts
The Vivo V29 Lite is a standard mid-segment smartphone, although the phone is the rebrand of the Vivo Y75 5G it comes with some distinct features. The V29 Lite offers a curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 695 chipset, and a triple camera setup.
On the other hand, the Y78 5G boasts a larger Full HD+ IPS LCD display with a high refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 5G SoC, and a dual rear camera setup. The Y78 5G also has a larger battery capacity and faster charging speed compared to the V29 Lite. Overall, both phone is a solid mid-range smartphones with a good balance of features and specifications.
