Xiaomi embedded 12mm dynamic drivers that have been tuned by their Acoustic Lab. These earbuds promise enhanced bass, improved acoustics, and an enjoyable listening experience. However, it’s important to note that they only support the SBC audio codec, which might result in playback quality issues when paired with an iPhone. Unlike the standard Redmi Buds 4, the Active version does not feature active noise cancellation (ANC), but it does offer environmental noise cancellation (ENC) for clearer phone calls.

As for the battery, it has a 34mAh battery in each earbud, while the charging case houses a 440mAh battery. Xiaomi claims that these earbuds can provide up to 5 hours of playback on a single charge, and when combined with the charging case, the total usage time extends to 28 hours. Moreover, a quick 10-minute charge can offer 110 minutes of listening time.
