Backed by the Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba, Daraz has finally announced its next ‘11.11’ sale. Well, what’s so special about the 11th of November though, you might ask. Celebrated on the 11th of November(11/11), this is a sale day that is quickly spreading from its origins in China to a global phenomenon. The Chinese sales festival ‘Single’s Day’ not only outsells Valentine’s Day in terms of numbers but also eyeing to outsell the previously undisputed sales festivals like Black Friday, Cyber Monday End-of-the-year. And with a big day like this looming close forward, Daraz has finally announced the details for this next mega-event, with over 6k sellers, 160+ global and local brands, and more than 5 lakh unique products.
11.11: The New World’s Biggest Sales Day
Daraz is no stranger when it comes to sales campaigns. They hardly ever miss an opportunity to promote their platform and services. Proudly boasting the new Single’s Day campaign as “Nepal’s Biggest Sale Day,” there is no doubt that there is a lot Daraz is looking to offer for this new campaign.
Single’s Day Daraz Offers:
The Single’s Day sale will feature much of the programs and events that Daraz normally hosts in its sales days, along with a few exclusive events to make this day all the more special. This sales festival will present customers with several opportunities to save through exclusive Mega Deals, Prepayment Discounts, Flash Sales, Bundle Offers, Free Shipping, Flat Discounts from various sellers and brands, and much more. During this 24 hour sale, customers can get 20% discounts on their deliveries(up to Rs. 3000), which, needless to say, is pretty impressive.
As always, Daraz will also be providing exclusive discounts to those that order via Daraz’s official banking partners. These 11 banks include Nabil Bank, NIC Asia, Sanima Bank, Global IME Bank, NMB Bank, Mega Bank, Nepal Bangladesh Bank, Kumari Bank, Laxmi Bank, Century Bank, and Himalayan Bank. However, users do need to make sure to activate their bank cards for online payments beforehand. “COVID-19 has impacted all of our lives significantly, ” says Lino Ahlering, Managing Director for Daraz Nepal. “After some challenging months, we are excited to bring Alibaba’s 11.11 Shopping Festival for the third time to Nepal. It will not only offer shoppers across the country access to exclusive deals and huge discounts across various categories, but it also gives Nepali sellers the chance to recover faster and boost their sales online during times where many of them see significantly less footfall due to the pandemic.”
The Daraz Team further assures the customers that while over 5 Lakh users are estimated to take an active part in this sales day, there will be no compromise on service level. To gear up for Nepal’s largest online sale day, Daraz has hired close to 900 delivery riders and customer care agents to ensure fast delivery in 27 cities. Along with hygiene rules like daily temperature checks of every employee, regular deep cleaning, and strict shift planning to reduce occupancy in every location, all delivery riders are further equipped with protective masks, gloves, and sanitizers, says Daraz Team.
