With smartphone companies tapping into the accessories market, we as customers are not just getting quality accessories but it also helps the manufacturers with advertising. So how do wearables and accessories help a smartphone brand? The answer is simple, accessories and smart wearables help brands to drive margins from existing users and retain a loyal customer base.
While we’re on the topic of wearables, let’s talk about the recently launched Realme Watch 2, shall we?
Overview:
The Realme Watch 2 hosts a similar square dial with an identical 1.4” Inch IPS LCD with a resolution of 320×320 pixels just like its predecessor. The peak brightness for this panel is 600nits. With more than 100 watch faces to choose from, Realme with this iteration of the Realme Watch has added new live faces options. The display is covered by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
While there’s still a lot of bezels surrounding the display, the realme watch 2 is a tad narrower and a little thicker than the Realme Watch at 12.2mm. The Realme branding is no longer present on the dial, but the “Dare To Leap “ Branding on the strap is not something that I personally like. The Realme Watch 2 weighs in at 38gms and is IP68 water and dust resistant.
Features:
With 14 different sports modes (just like the previous one) to choose from including outdoor walking, basketball, yoga, indoor walking, and outdoor running right off the bat, Realme says that an update is to be rolled out soon which will let you track over 90 sports modes. When it comes to sensors, not much has changed and you have all the basics covered with SpO2, heartreate, sleep monitoring, etc. The Realme Watch 2 weighs in at 38gms and is IP68 water and dust resistant.
Battery:
The added thickness makes way for a bigger battery rated at 315mAh over 160mAh on the previous one. Realme claims that this will last you up to 12 days of usage.
