Samsung India recently launched the Samsung Galaxy M32. The Samsung Galaxy M32 follows the footfalls of its elder sibling the Samsung Galaxy M31s. As it has been with the phone launches, we expect it to launch shortly in Nepal as well. Here’s what it has to offer.
Samsung Galaxy M32 Overview
Build and Display:
The build is plastic and the Samsung Galaxy M32 gets a plastic frame and a plastic back. To the front, is a 6.4” inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 800 nits. There’s a tiny notch to the display which Samsung likes to call the Infinity-U notch. In spite of the AMOLED panel, the fingerprint scanner resides to the side. The device measures 9.33 mm in thickness.
Though the back is made out of plastic, it has a prismatic design with vertical stripes like the ones found on the Galaxy M12.
Performance:
At the helm of the Samsung Galaxy M32 is MediaTek Helio G80 SoC paired with 4 or 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage which is expandable via a dedicated microSD card slot.
Do note that the storage used here is eMMC 5.1 which is a downgrade over UFS 2.1 found on its predecessor- the Samsung Galaxy M31s. Handling the graphics is the Mali-G52 MC2 GPU.
On the software front, the Samsung Galaxy M32 runs OneUI 3.1 built on top of Android 11.
Cameras:
The new Samsung Galaxy M32 gets a quad-camera setup to the back with a 64MP f/1.8 primary sensor, a secondary 8MP ultrawide sensor with 123° FOV, and two 2MP cameras for macro and depth.
The Infinity-U notch houses a 20Mp f/2.2 selfie shooter. However, the video recording capabilities for both the front and rear cameras have been capped at 1080p 30fps. This is a downgrade from last year’s M31 which had support for 4k recording at 30fps.
Battery and Charging:
The Samsung Galaxy M32 shares the massive 6000mAh cell as its predecessor with support for 25Watts fast charging but… The “but” here is that Samsung bundles in a 15Watt charger with the M32 which will get you from 0 to 100 in a little over 2hrs.
