Nokia has launched the Nokia G10 in Nepal, a budget smartphone with an NRs.16,999 price tag. This is a dumbed-down version of its elder sibling- the Nokia G20. For the asking price, here’s what the Nokia G10 has to offer.
Nokia G10 Overview:
Build and Display:
The Nokia G10 shares the common trait of budget devices with a plastic build. The plastic back is a textured one with a circular camera cutout adorning the back. Upfront is a 6.52” inch IPS LCD panel with an HD+resolution i.e. 720×1600 pixels and a dewdrop notch. The 20:9 aspect ratio of the device gives it an 81.9% screen-to-body ratio.
The fingerprint scanner is baked into the power button to the side of the device.
Performance:
Underneath the hood, the phone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G25 SoC. This is an octa-core CPU built on a 12nm FinFET process. This is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. This is an entry-level SoC that drives the likes of Moto E7 Power, Redmi 9A, Infinix Hot 10 Play, and Umidigi A9.
PowerVR GE8320 handles the graphics here. The phone runs a stock-ish version of Android 11 and Nokia promises 2years of major software upgrades and 3 years of security updates for the Nokia G10.
Camera:
The circular-shaped camera cutout houses a triple camera array with a 13MP primary sensor and two 2MP sensors designated for macro and depth. The selfie shooter is an 8MP sensor and can record 1080p videos at 30fps via both the front and rear cameras.
