The latest flagship offering from Asus, Asus 8z, was released in India on February 28. Asus has initially revealed this smartphone as Zenfone 8 in May of 2021. And now, the phone is launched under the name Asus8z in India. The Asus phone has two back cameras and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 octa-core processor. Let’s look at it in more detail.
Asus 8z (Zenfone 8) Overview
The Asus8z features a 5.90-inch touchscreen display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 CPU of the Asus 8z runs at 2.84GHz. Similarly, it has a total of 8GB of RAM. Moreover, Asus8z has a 4,000 mAh battery with 30W rapid charging and runs Android 11. In addition, it features dual rear cameras (64 MP primary with OIS, 12 MP ultrawide) and a 12 MP selfie camera. The 8z is powered by Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 888 Kryo 680 Octa-core processor. Handling the GPU is Adreno 660. Similarly, it comes with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 inbuilt storage. However, you can’t expand the storage as it lacks a dedicated microSD card slot.
Software and Connectivity:
The device still runs the ZenUI 8, which is based on Android 11. According to the manufacturer, the gadget will receive Android 12 via a FOTA upgrade. Similarly, the Asus 8z is a dual-SIM phone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. In addition, the device supports Wi-Fi 802.11, GPS, Bluetooth v5.20, NFC, and USB Type-C for connectivity.

The 8/128GB variant of the Asus 8z costs INR 42,999 in India. Meanwhile, it goes on sale from March 7. However, there has been no word on whether or not 8z would be launched in Nepal. Meanwhile, we estimate that the 8z will cost around NPR 73,000 in Nepal.
