The Nepali social gaming platform, Bhoos Game has come up with Bhoos Smart Bots Coding Challenge in partnering with LOCUS 2023. The LOCUS is an umbrella organization led by undergraduate students of the Electrical, Electronics, and Computer Engineering department of IOE from the Pulchowk Campus. They are also the game publisher of “Call Break Premier League” and “Marriage Card Game” on Play Store and App Store.

Bhoos Smart Bots Coding Challenge 2023
The Bhoos Smart BOts Coding Challenge is a programmer challenge where the alike-minded pupils who code shares their ideas or discuss various topic in a manner while challenging each other.
The Challenge is a 3-month long event after the registration period. Registration is open on October 20, 2023, or you can register now from https://smartbots.bhoos.games/(You will need basic info: email, full name, mobile number, and if you are currently studying or working, and team info as well).
Firstly, it was announced in 2022 with the challenge to create a smart game bot and complete the bots which were created by another member (participants).
In this year’s challenge, Bhoos Game and LOCUS 2023 challenge are to build a game bot from scratch for a card game called 29 Points. The 29 Points is quite popular in South Asia because that’s fun, and emphasizes the value of cooperation, awareness, and probabilistic reasoning. Bhoos Smart Bots Coding Challenge Prices
There is an altogether Rs. 8 lakhs for the top three winners. The first winner will get Rs. 5 lakhs, the second winner will get Rs. 2 lakhs and the third winner will get Rs. 1 lakhs.
As per Bhoos, the longer-than-three-month-long code challenge is organized to create an environment for coding enthusiasts to meet, collaborate, and share ideas.
Criteria
Following the criteria for Bhoos Smart Bots Coding Challenge to participate;
- You need to be Nepali Citizen.
- An employee can’t participate (or the employee’s relative).
Note: there is no age restriction.
Timeline:
After registration, you will be notified with all the following details: There will altogether three stages for the participants they are:
1. Preparation and League – November 5, 2022 – January 15, 2023
The Bhoos Games will provide you with the necessary resources for the participants to build a bot from scratch. After the completion, your bot will play a series of games against other bots from the challenge.
2. Screening Sudo – January 20, 2023 – January 21, 2023
Only the top 8 players will be chosen from the leaderboard. Then they will present how they built the bots to judges (to prevent any sort of fraudulent activities from the participants).
3. The Finale – January 24, 2023
And lastly, for the final round, the top 8 players will go against each other for the top three spots. As said above the prize pool of Rs. 8 lakhs. The first winner will get Rs. 5 lakhs, the second winner will get Rs. 2 lakhs and the third winner will get Rs. 1 lakhs.
