The show-stealing Classic Tech Tachyon Package, which offers up to 1 Gbps fiber broadband, is now available.
Nepal’s ISP market has been pretty static for several years. However, CG Net’s 120Mbps residential plans drew a lot of attention a few months ago dragging all major ISPs of Nepal into bandwidth speedwar. On the other hand, Classic Tech took its time to join the Bandwidth Speed War. However, when it did, it stole the show from all of the major ISPs, announcing a bandwidth of up to 1 Gbps. And finally, Classic Tech has launched its much-anticipated Classic Tech Tachyon Package, which include speeds up to 1Gbps (1000Mbps) and other internet plans. Let’s take a closer look at Classic Tech’s new internet packages.
Classic Tech Internet Packages
The Classic Tech Tachyon Package includes five internet plans:
- (Bronze Tachyon TV+) – 150Mbps
- (Silver Tachyon 2TV+) – 225Mbps
- (Gold Tachyon 2TV+) – 325Mbps
- (Diamond Tachyon 3TV+) – 625Mbps
- (Platinum Tachyon 3TV+) – 1000Mbps
On the other hand, Classic Tech also offers a mesh W-Fi system. In addition, the Platinum Tachyon 3TV+ (1000Mbps) plan includes Wi-Fi 6, which is not currently available in other plans. We’ll go over the specifics of Classic Tech’s new internet plans and pricing.
Classic Tech Tachyon Package Plans & Pricing
The Classic Tech Tachyon Package includes five different internet packages that range up to 1000 Mbps (1Gbps). For a new installation of a 12-month subscription with one IPTV, the Tachyon 150Mbps plan costs Rs. 20,018.44. Likewise, for a new installation of a 12-month subscription with one IPTV, the Tachyon 225Mbps and 325Mbps cost Rs. 22,730.44 and Rs. 26,120.44 respectively. Meanwhile, the activation fee for additional IPTV is Rs. 2,000, with a refundable deposit of Rs. 500 per set-top box.
Furthermore, the Tachyon 625Mbps and 1000Mbps are only available on a 12-month subscription basis and require a mesh Wi-Fi system. A new installation of a 625Mbps plan costs Rs. 33,886.44, while a 1000Mbps plan costs Rs. 55,726.44.

Mesh WiFi System
Classic Tech has also introduced the Mesh Wi-Fi system. However, Classic Tech offers Mesh WiFi for higher packages. As a result, the mesh Wi-Fi system is optional for the 150Mbps, 225Mbps, and 325Mbps plans, but is required for the 625Mbps and 1000Mbps plans.
However, Classic Tech hasn’t specified which mesh router model they’ll be providing. What we do know is that optional mesh routers are referred to as mesh 1.0 in the 150Mbps, 225Mbps, and 325Mbps plans, and mesh 2.0 in the 625Mbps and 1000Mbps plans. 5GHz (Dual Band) WiFi Router
Under the 5GHz Dual Band Router Scheme, Classic Tech initially uses two bands: 2.4GHz and 5GHz. It means the router transmits two simultaneous wireless signals, improving performance and making it easier to set up than a single-band router. Meanwhile, the pricing will be as shown in the table below.

IPTV Activation
You can watch HD channels, YouTube videos, and movies with Classic Tech IPTV. Meanwhile, the price of the 1st time installation of the set-top box varies depending on the length of the subscription. If you sign up for a 12-month plan, you can get a primary STB for Rs. 2,000. However, Classic Tech offers free activation for the primary STB if you subscribe to a 625Mbps or 1000Mbps plan.
In contrast, an additional STB costs Rs. 2,000 for activation and Rs. 500 for a deposit for all plans and subscriptions.

However, they do have some terms and conditions, which are as follows:
- Each of the prices listed above is subjected to a 13 percent VAT.
- A three-month warranty covers only manufacturing defects.
- Classic Tech Pvt. Ltd. will be the owner of the device. In the event of an upgrade from an existing ONU, the deposit from the previous ONU will be automatically transferred to the new Dual Band ONU.
Final Thoughts
ISPs have been forced to move because of the bandwidth war. And, given how much has changed in the ISP sector in the last few months, the new schemes and packages from various ISPs in Nepal are no longer surprising. However, Classic Tech Tachyon Package (up to 1 Gpbs) is considered a world-class offering. As a result, it now has become the country’s fastest and largest internet bandwidth. However, the entire speed appears to be unreal from the start. Even after bringing high-speed packages, ISPs are not providing Internet Bandwidth as promised. At this time, will Classic Tech be able to maintain the speed and provide customers with internet satisfaction?
