The DJI Avata FPV drone is set to surpass its predecessor in terms of camera capabilities and overall construction quality. It is designed to work seamlessly with DJI’s FPV Remote 2 and FPV Goggles V2, as well as the DJI Goggles 2 and DJI Motion Remote.

Camera
It is equipped with a video system similar to that of the Mini 3 Pro, consisting of a 48MP CMOS camera with a 155-degree field of view and 1/1.7-inch optical format.
It supports shutter speeds ranging from 1/50s to 1/8,000s and has an ISO range of 100 to 25,600. The drone also features 4-in-1 pixel binning technology that combines data from four pixels into one.
The Avata is capable of recording 4K videos at 60 frames per second, as well as 2.7K and 1080p videos at a maximum frame rate of 120. It also comes equipped with gimbal stabilization and offers RockSteady and HorizonSteady modes.
Modes
The drone is provided with three different modes: Normal, Manual, and Hybrid. In Normal mode, the drone operates like other DJI drones that use satellite tracking or visual positioning systems.
While the manual mode can only be accessed through the FPV Remote Controller 2, which allows for complete control over the drone’s flight. Resulting on a fully immersive FPV experience.
The Hybrid mode combines the dynamic movement capabilities of Manual mode with the safety features of Normal mode, providing the best of both worlds.

Battery
Despite having a 2420mAh battery, the DJI Avata is capable of an 18-minute flight and can reach a speed of 27 meters per second according to the company. This means that the drone should be able to cover a distance of 11.6 km during its flight time.
