Facebook Messenger is one of the most popular messaging apps currently which allow users to send messages, do audio and video calls using the internet. Facebook Messenger has come a long way and Facebook has implemented lots of features and changed the user interface a lot but they have not implemented the long-requested Dark mode in the messenger, although the news regarding the dark mode was surfaced last year.
Although Facebook has not rolled out the Dark Mode, there was an unofficial way to enable dark mode there were many ways and one of them is by gaining root access to the phone.

Finally, it looks like Facebook has finally listened to the long-requested feature to enable dark mode in the messenger. Although Facebook has not made the feature publicly available. They have included a simple trick to enable the Dark Mode in the messenger. To enable the dark mode, all you have to do is to send a Crescent Moon (🌙) emoji to any of your friends from your friend list. Then go to the settings and you can see the option to enable dark mode.
