Recently Huawei announced several products at its “Spring Flagship Event,” one of the latest unveiled items is, the Huawei FreeBuds 5. It comes with premium quality which is also the successor to the FreeBuds 4.

Built
The standout feature of FreeBuds 5 is its design, which distinguishes it from its predecessor and other TWS models on the market. It comes with a semi-in-ear fit, the earbuds now have a unique curve inspired by “Rupert’s Tears.”
Its earpiece side has taken on the shape of a water droplet, while the stem has become thicker. Despite this, the weight has remained at a light 5.4 grams. The curved shape is claimed to provide an ergonomic fit for the user’s ear canals, and the earbuds have an IP54 rating for resistance to dust and water splashes.
The charging case, however, does not have an IP rating. The earbuds are available in three colors: Frost Silver, Coral Orange, and Ceramic White.
Audio
In terms of audio, it comes with an 11mm driver and a dual magnetic circuit design that provides 30% greater low-frequency sensitivity than its predecessor, with a range of up to 16 Hz.

Along with Sound Pressure Turbo Technology which increases airflow for better bass performance, according to the company. The buds do feature HD audio certification and offer Audio Vivid’s three spatial audio settings.
Likewise, Huawei also included a hybrid active noise cancellation system to eliminate external noises and ensure clear calls. High-Definition L2HC and LDAC codecs are also supported.
Battery & Other Features
It is equipped with a 42mAh battery in each earpiece, while the charging case houses a 505mAh battery. The earbuds can be rapidly charged in just 20 minutes using the case. The company claims that the battery life is 3.5 hours without noise cancellation and 5 hours with it.
For connectivity, it offers Bluetooth 5.2 for the TWS to the Huawei Smart Life app, which supports music sharing, low latency mode, and multi-device connections.
Other features include, its touch controls manage audio playback, adjust volume, and accept calls, which can be done by sliding or double-clicking on the stem.

In China, the Huawei FreeBuds 5 is CNY 899 around Rs. 30,000 in Nepal. The product is not yet available in Nepal but if it does officially launched in Nepal then we will update this article.
