Last week, Huawei introduced various products: Mate X3 and P60 models, along with the Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2 Plus earbuds. The high-end earbuds are the 2022 version of the previously launched Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2.

Design
The latest FreeBuds Pro 2 Plus boasts a design that is almost identical to its predecessor. It features a golden-colored stalk with a rectangular shape and an in-ear finish. These earbuds come with an IP54 rating that safeguards against dust and splash damage. Likewise, they are available in a single color option, “Feather White.”

High Sensor
The main difference between Pro 2 Plus and the standard FreeBuds Pro 2 is the addition of integrated temperature and pulse rate sensors. These earbuds feature the first dual-type infrared and green light heart rate monitor in the market, with a 95% accuracy rate for detecting heart rate.
Users can obtain a reading by pinching the right earbud. Moreover, the 2 Plus comes with a 3D temperature sensor that measures the temperature of the ear canal, the skin around the auricle, and the ear stems. This data is then processed with an algorithm to produce body temperature readings.
Audio
It features a micro-panel tweeter and an 11mm quad magnet dynamic driver that provides excellent audio clarity. Huawei claims that these earbuds have a frequency range of 14Hz to 48kHz and are certified for Hi-Res Audio Wireless and HWA (Hi-Res Wireless Audio).
Along with the use of LDAC codec for high-fidelity streaming, and high-definition binaural audio is also included. Furthermore, the company has paired with the French audio technology company, Devialet to fine-tune the sound quality.
It also has Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) that can reduce background noise by up to 47 dB through a triple-mic array.
Battery & Other Features
The buds offer up to 5.8 hours of battery life with ANC turned off or 3.7 hours with ANC on from a single charge. However, with the charging case, these numbers increase to 27 and 17 hours, respectively.
In addition, it has to wear monitoring and multi-device connectivity features. However, it is important to note that only Huawei smartphones and tablets are compatible with these earbuds.
