On Tuesday Huawei teased the FreeBuds Pro 2 on its Twitter page. Just hours later, the new flagship audio wearables made their debut at a media event in Central and Eastern Europe.
Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2 Overview
Design and Build
The earbuds sport an in-ear design and feature dual drivers along with three microphones. The Hi-Res Dual Sound System is the best feature of the earbuds. It supports the biggest frequency range for Huawei earbuds, going from 14Hz to 48Hz.
Moreover, it also introduced an adaptive equalizer that learns how the user wears the buds and tweaks the audio to sound great in all scenarios, as per GSM Arena. The buds also come with IP54 dust and water resistance rating.
The buds are launched in three color options: Silver Blue, Silver Forest, and Ceramic White.
Noice Cancellation
The earbuds reduced ambient noise by up to 47dB reduction. This is accomplished via a three-microphone array. It is a new deep neural network algorithm that learns and adapts over time.
Additionally, they will offer high-quality sound thanks to a new dual-driver design and tuninh=g by French audio firm Devialet.
Battery
The earbuds have a 55mAh battery offering 4h with ANC/ 6.5h without ANC playback, 580mHa battery in case offering 30h without ANC/ 18h without ANC playback with charging case, and USB Type-C.
While promising up to 30 hours of battery life with the case. The claims that a playtime of 4 hours on a single charge with active noise cancellation (ANC) turned on and 6.5 hours with the ANC off.
