While market giants like Samsung, Apple, Huawei, etc have been rolling out one new hot release after another, Hong-Kong based Infinix has been steadily working to claim a name for itself with its online-driven approach too. With competitively priced smartphones that bring new stuff to the table, Infinix Mobility has gained a name for itself in more than 70 countries already. Amid the growing popularity, Daraz, Nepal’s leading eCommerce store, has decided to bring two Infinix devices: the Infinix Note 7 and budget-priced Infinix Hot 9 exclusively in the Nepali market. In this article, we will be looking over the two devices Inifinix Note 7 and Infinix Hot 9, and their price in Nepal.
Infinix Note 7:
“The Future of Note is Now“
The Infinix Note 7 is Infinix’s flagship mid-range smartphone. Coming in at a competitive price, with a lot of extra features, this is quite a beast of a phone.
Display and Design:
The phone comes with an enormous 6.95″ HD+ Infinity-O display and a sleek 20.5:9 aspect ratio cinematic design. The phone looks like an absolute beauty at first glance. The tiny hole-punch notch that holds the front camera has been pushed to the far left side of the screen, which reminds us of something like the Honor 20 Pro or Motorola One Action. The bezels and chin are quite minimal, and the front of the phone looks very clean and minimal.
On the rear, we have a circular panel that holds the Note 7’s prized quad camera setup.
Cameras:
On the front, we have a powerful 16MP camera, seated inside the tiny hole-punched notch. The rear circular panel of the phone holds the four camera lenses and the LED flash. The quad-camera setup consists of a 48 MP wide camera, 2MP macro lens, 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP “AI lens”. With features like 6 element lens, AI image stabilization, Night capture, etc, the picture quality is pretty good. Images seem pretty detailed, although it doesn’t really seem as it has “almost 40 times the phone screen resolution” (as marketed on the official site), looking at the image sizes and quality.
Hardware and performance:
This beast comes packed with the Mediatek Helio G70 (12 nm) chipset. While this isn’t the best you’ll find at this price point in terms of performance, it is pretty solid nonetheless. The Octa-core Cortex CPU and Mali-G52 GPU, along with the 4 solid gigs of RAM provide a smooth user experience. The internal memory sits at 128 GB.
As is pretty trendy to see nowadays, the phone comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, instead of a traditional fingerprint sensor at the rear.
Battery:
The phone comes with a solid 5000mAh battery, along with 18W fast charging. The charger supports Infinix’s Super Charge 3.0.

Infinix Hot 9 Play:
“Small cost, big screen”
Display and design:
The Infinix Hot 9 Play comes with a large 6.82″ Infinity-O display. With HD+ resolution and a cinematic aspect ratio, it is quite stylish to look at. This is the largest-sized smartphone available in the Nepali market right now at its price point.
The Infinix Hot 9 Play sports a U-shaped notch at the front, which holds its front camera. This is different from the original Hot 9, which has a hole-punched notch instead but is slightly smaller in size.
Cameras:
The Infinix Hot 9 Play holds a good dual-camera setup on the rear. With a price tag of under 12k, the phone sports a small rectangular panel on the back that houses the lenses. The panel consists of a 13MP primary camera. A powerful LED flash is housed beside the two camera lenses.
On the front, we have an 8MP selfie snapper with a screen flash.
Hardware, Software and battery:
The Infinix Hot 9 Play comes with a 1.8GHz CPU, and 2 solid gigs of RAM. With 32 gigabytes of internal storage, there is a facility for SD cards as well, which makes storage further expandable up to 256GB.
The phone, surprisingly, runs Android Oreo, Go edition. This is great since Android Go has optimized apps that run smoothly even on low-end hardware.
The battery section is where this phone truly shines at. With an enormous 6000 mAh battery, and software battery optimization as the cherry on top, the battery life of this phone goes a LOOOOONG way. According to the company themselves, the GO edition of OS and further battery software optimizations make this phone have an additional 60% battery lifecycle for longer durability.
