While market giants like Samsung, Apple, Huawei, etc., have been rolling out one new hot release after another in stores, Infinix is doing something slightly different with its online-driven approach. Due to their business model of only selling through online platforms, this Hong-Kong based company has built a reputation for bringing great featured phones at insanely low prices. Following the success of their last two releases, the Infinix Note 7 and the Infinix Hot 9, Daraz, the exclusive online partner for Infinix Mobility in Nepal, is going for another round with the new Infinix Smart 5. Please keep reading to find out more about the cheapest smartphone with 64GB storage and its unbelievable price in Nepal.
Infinix Smart 5 Overview
Design and Display:
The Infinix Smart 5 comes with a spacious 6.6-inch IPS LCD display and HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 px. Following a somewhat classic trend, the phone’s design sports a tiny V-shaped notch on the top housing the front camera. The back houses a glossy gem-cut design that looks similar to the design it has used in many of its other products, along with a rectangular camera panel that carries the Inifinix Smart 5’s rear cameras and the fingerprint sensor.
At first glance, this looks like anything but a budget phone. A large spacious screen with extremely slim bezels, the only thing that could give out the fact that it is a budget device is the slightly under par display and resolution.

Cameras:
Being a budget device and all, the Infinix Smart 5 doesn’t really come with the best cameras in the market, but they are definitely great considering the price point. Coming in with a lavish triple camera setup, the device houses a 13MP primary lens, along with two QVGA lenses for good measure. The QVGA lenses, which are something normally only used in devices like feature phones, don’t really seem to serve much purpose though, except serve as a marketing tactic.
On the front we have an 8MP selfie camera accompanied with dual LED flash. Complete with AI optimization, the phone reportedly also is capable of features like face beautification, auto retouching and light background blur effects.
Performance:
Powered by a Mediatek MT6761D Helio A20 chipset (1.8 GHz), the phone is like a gentle giant at best. Although the large screen, triple cameras and slim bezel design does its best to make the phone appear premium, the performance sort of gently gives it away. With a quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU and PowerVR GE8320 GPU handling the graphics, normal apps and the UI runs pretty smoothly, but things start getting laggy when you run large apps or heavy games.
The memory, which is the most notable thing in this phone, stands at a mighty 64 GB. If, for some reason this is not enough, you can also choose to increase it via an SD card.
The OS choice is a smart one. With Android 10 (Go edition), apps are rendered as simple webpages so they don’t really consume a lot of memory, reducing lag and improving performance.
Batteries:
A Li-Po 5000 mAh, non-removable battery supports this giant phone, and also has an effect of making the phone look slightly thicker. Charging is 10W and is handled through a microUSB 2.0 charging slot.
