Built & Display
This new camera follows the unique and compact pill-shaped design of its predecessors, the Insta360 GO and GO 2. Despite being slightly heavier at 35 grams, the GO 3 maintains its IPX8 water resistance, allowing it to withstand depths of up to 5 meters. Notably, it features a lens guard for added protection.
It comes equipped with dual microphones, one on the front and another on the top, enabling voice control functionality. The camera can be conveniently attached to clothing using a magnetic pendant, facilitating point-of-view (POV) shots. Its 2.2-inch touchscreen display serves for both shot preview and settings navigation. The package includes an Action Pod that can be swiftly mounted on a tripod and also doubles as a Bluetooth remote for the device.

Cameras
The camera itself boasts an 11.24mm sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and a 35mm equivalent focal length. A significant upgrade is its ability to capture 2.7K footage at 30 frames per second, surpassing the GO 2’s recording capabilities. Slow-motion video can be recorded in 1080p at 120 fps.
Moreover, recording modes like Pre-Recording, Loop Recording, Timed Capture, and free frame (which allow changing aspect ratios) have been introduced. Stabilization is handled by a 6-axis gyroscope and FlowState stabilization, with a 360 Horizon Lock feature to prevent distortion and tilting.
Battery & Other Features
As for the battery, it is powered by a 310mAh battery that charges in 35 minutes, while the Action Pod, which features a 1,270mAh battery, takes 65 minutes to charge via USB Type-C. The camera alone offers up to 45 minutes of operation, which extends to 170 minutes when using the Action Pod.
