Overview of Products Launched at the Apple Event 2021:
Apple events are popular for their product debuts, but Tom Hanks and Ted Lasso kicked off Tuesday’s much-anticipated event, rather than an iPhone or iPad. Let’s get an insight into every product launched at the event including its specs, features, and price.
iPad and iPad Mini
Apple kicked up the event with some new iPad enhancements. The regular iPad has been upgraded. The 10.2-inch iPad is powered by a strong A13 CPU that performs 20% faster than the previous edition. It’s now three times faster than a Chromebook, according to Apple. It costs $329 for 64GB of storage, which is double what an entry-level iPad generally comes with. The device is $299 for schools. However, the slightest raise spec isn’t particularly interesting here.
The new iPad mini, though, was the show-stopper. The new iPad mini features a completely revamped design that eliminates the home button in favor of a full-screen display with an 8.3-inch display. Wide shading and anti-reflective coating, 500 nits of brightness, and genuine tone are all features of the display. It has an A15 Bionic chip that is up to 40% faster in CPU performance than the previous generation, as well as an 80 percent increase in GPU power.
The 5G technology in the iPad mini provides consumers with substantially faster performance, with download speeds of up to 3.5 Gigabytes per second. Indeed, even with 5G, Apple claims that the new iPad mini can last a whole day on a single charge. It emphasizes the use of a USB-C port rather than a lightning port, as well as the inclusion of a Touch ID sensor in the power button on the new iPad mini. It also has a 12 Megapixel ultrawide camera, which is compatible with the second-generation Apple Pencil and brings us fantastic functionality from the iPad Pro. Space grey, pink, purple, and starlight are the color options for the iPad mini, which start at $499.

iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max
At least among the iPhones, the higher-end iPhone Proline was arguably the highlight of Apple’s event. Apple’s new, powerful A15 Bionic chip is featured in the 6.1-inch iPhone 13 Pro and 6.7-inch iPhone 13 Pro Max, which Apple claims is the “fastest CPU in any smartphone.” It will increase machine learning capabilities on the iPhone, including real-time video analysis and the capacity to analyze text in photos.
The Pro devices have a five-core CPU with 50 percent quicker graphics, as well as a bright Super Retna XDR display with a faster refresh rate, all-day battery life, and the option of one terabyte of storage, which doubles the previous maximum storage capacity.
The camera system was also given a thorough revamp. It has a new 77mm telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, as well as new wide and ultrawide sensors.
The prices for the Pro and Pro Max are $999 and $1,099, respectively. (An iPhone Pro Max with one terabyte of storage will set you back $1,599.) Graphite, gold, silver, and sierra blue are the available colors. On Friday, September 24, the full new iPhone line will begin shipping.
Apple Event 2021: iPhone and iPhone Mini
The A15 Bionic chip found in the 6.1-inch iPhone 13 and 5.4-inch iPhone 13 mini is the same as in the Pro line. It also boasts a diagonally organized dual-camera system as well as longer-lasting batteries. The iPhone 13 battery will last 2.5 hours longer than the iPhone 12, while the iPhone 13 small will last 1.5 hours longer.
A more efficient display, a new 5G chip, and a function dubbed Cinematic Mode, which is similar to the popular Portrait mode feature but for films, are among the other improvements.
The iPhone 13 mini starting price is $699 for 128 GB (more storage than ever before for a base model), while the iPhone 13 will start at $799 for 128 GB. Pink, blue, black, white, and red are the new hues for smartphones.
However, this year’s 5G announcement, the new iPhones — the iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max — don’t include any groundbreaking design changes or features. There was no sign of Apple’s once-famous phrase, “one more thing.”
Apple Event 2021: Apple watch Series 7
Apple announced the new Apple Watch Series 7, which is smaller and has a larger screen than the previous model. The new watch features a 20% bigger display than the Series 6. It features a full keyboard that you can tap or swipe to type out text messages. Also, it can display 50% more text. The new Apple Watch is dust and water-resistant (ipx6), as well as swim-proof (wr50). It comes in five different metal colors: midnight, starlight, green, blue, and red. The Apple Watch Series 7 is priced at $399.
According to Apple, A15 Bionic has a revolutionary 5nm architecture. The iPhone 12 users will recognize that this manufacturing node is the same size as the A14 processor. This means Apple missed the opportunity to boost performance by moving to the 3nm node. Apple claims that the new chip has 15 billion transistors, however, this is not confirmed by the company. This is a significant increase over the 11.8 billion A14 processors. To put it another way, performance is increasing. As a result, Apple claims that it is 50% faster than the competition. Apple did not announce the new chip’s speed in comparison to the A14. Hence, I assume there will be a considerable performance boost between the iPhone 12 and 13.
