The long-awiated smartphone iQoo Neo 7 launched in India with some twists. The company has decided to rename the Chinese version, Neo 7SE, to the more universal Neo 7. However, it’s important to note that there are some notable differences between the Chinese and international models.
Let’s head starts with iQoo Neo 7 features, specifications, prices, and availability in Nepal.
iQoo Neo 7 Overview
Built & Display
The Neo 7 and Neo 6 have a similar physical appearance with a punch-hole cutout on the front and a rectangular camera module on the back. However, iQOO managed to increase the screen size from 6.62 inches on the Neo 6 to 6.78 inches on the Neo 7.
The display is capable of supporting HDR 10+, has a 120 Hz refresh rate, and can reach a brightness of 1300 nits. Additionally, the Neo 7 includes an in-display fingerprint scanner for biometrics and is available in two color options: Ice Blue and Interstellar Black. Notably, iQOO has also included an impressive 1200Hz touch sampling rate.

Performances
The main difference between the Chinese and international versions of the Neo 7 lies in their performance capabilities. While the Chinese version is equipped with a more powerful Dimensity 9000+ chipset, the global Neo 7 comes with Dimensity 8200 SoC.
Despite this difference, the iQOO Dimensity 8200 is still a strong performer with its four Cortex-A78 performance cores and four Cortex-A55 efficiency cores.
The GPU is the Mali-G610 MC6. iQOO has incorporated a large vapor chamber (VC) that measures 2396 mm2 and a 3D graphite structure to aid in cooling. Memory options include up to 256GB of storage and up to 12GB of RAM, and the device runs on FunTouch OS 13, which is based on Android 13.
Chineses Neo 7:
The China-only version of the Neo 7 has some exclusive features, such as the Dimensity 9000 Plus chipset and a display-supporting chip called ‘Pro+’ which reduces power consumption and provides better gaming performance.
It also includes a 4013mm2 VC cooling system, 9 temperature sensors, and an intelligent temperature sensing algorithm to monitor and control the device’s temperature.
The phone also has dual under-screen press-sensitive controls, dual X-axis linear motors, and 4D game vibration for an improved gaming experience.
Camera & Battery
There are also some differences in the camera setup between the international and Chinese versions of the Neo 7. The global version features a 64MP primary sensor and a couple of 2MP sensors for depth and macro photography.
In contrast, the Chinese Neo 7 has a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor. However, both versions still offer OIS on the primary camera. Additionally, there is a 16MP front-facing camera for taking selfies.
For Battery, it is powered by a 5000mAh battery and can be quickly charged with a 120W adapter.
