With a signature 3D curved AMOLED display and a giant 5,260 mAh battery, the many leaks, speculations, and squeals of the excitement of Xiaomi fans have finally come to life. Officially. With a launch price lower than iPhone’s prized 2020 SE, Xiaomi sure knows how to pack a lot of punch for a lot less price in the MI Note 10 Lite. This smartphone brings a lot of powerful premium features in a mid-pricing ‘Lite’ device, that’s for sure.
Mi Note 10 Lite Pricing and Availability:
The launch price of the 6GB + 64 GB Mi Note 10 Lite variant is set at 349 Euros, which falls roughly at Nrs. 45, 600, without considering any additional charges. The 6GB + 128 GB variant is priced at 399 Euros (around Nrs. 52,100). The smartphone is currently available in select regions, although it will hit the global-markets starting mid-May. Also, although an 8GB variant is promised, there’s no clue of how much it is going to cost, or if it is going to be launched globally. The phone comes in three cool shades: Nebula Purple, Midnight Black, and Glacier White.
Now that we’re done talking about the price tag, let’s see what we get for it.
Mi Note 10 Lite overview:
The Mi Note 10 Lite sports a 6.47” ‘flagship-grade’ 3D curved AMOLED display. This display, which also has a Rheinland low blue light certification, is under the loving care of Corning Gorilla Glass on both the front and rear sides. Coming in with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, dot-notch design, and a stunning 91.4% screen-to-body ratio, it’s quite a beauty to look at.
Cameras, cameras, cameras, CAMERAs!
Talking cameras… well, we all know Xiaomi. The quad-camera setup sports a powerful 64MP primary aided by AI technology for more stunning photography. The 8MP Ultra wide-angle camera, 5MP depth sensor and a 2MP Macro shot camera makes sure the phone won’t disappoint you in a wide range of shooting scenarios. The cameras are housed in a vertical setup, which looks sleek and clean (take notes, Apple!). This isn’t really the ‘best’ setup Xiaomi has put out, but considering the price range, it’s more than solid.
Hardware and Software:
Under the hood, we have the Qualcomm SDM730 Snapdragon 730G (8 nm) making sure everything runs smoothly. With an Octa-core Kryo CPU and an Adreno 618 handling graphics, this phone can handle most games you throw at it with relative ease.
Talking about software, we have the company’s MIUI 11 running on top of Android 10. MIUI 11 isn’t really known for being the ‘best’ UI there(if there is really one). But hardcore MIUI fans will fight you tooth and nail if they hear that. Personal preference really plays a big factor.
Batteries and Charging:
As we talked about earlier, Xiaomi has gone extra-big on the battery. With a Non-removable Li-Po 5260 mAh battery that comes with 30W fast-charging, this is sure to be more than enough even for heavy users.
