We have seen a lot of non-smartphone action from Nepal’s current most-selling smartphone brand Xiaomi. Although Xiaomi focuses on all kinds of electronic equipment from earbuds to routers, few of these products were introduced to Nepal before 2020. Recently Xiaomi has gone full-on aggressive on non-smartphone products from router to power banks, earbuds, and much more. Xiaomi has also unveiled two new SmartTVs: the Mi TV 4X and Mi LED TV 4A PRO in Nepal. This is the first time the company has introduced Mi Smart TV in Nepal, and we must say they have done this with a bang.
Mi TV 4X and Mi LED TV 4A PRO:
Mi TV 4X:
Display and size:
The Mi TV 4X 2020 edition comes in at a solid 55-inches and aims to revolutionize the HQ big-screen viewing experience for TVs. This is a fairly large TV, to say the least. It features a 4K 10-bit HDR display, complemented by Xiaomi’s in-house image processing algorithm, the Vivid Picture Engine. According to the company, this image processing algorithm works to make colors more vivid, crisp, and natural-looking than many of its competitors in a similar price range.
Audio and speakers:
The TV also promises a truly immersive audiovisual experience, courtesy of its 20W stereo speakers. These speakers are certified for Dolby Audio™ and DTS-HD® so you know that you’re getting nothing but the best sonic experience with the device. Users can also use other brand speakers or connect the TV to their home-stereo setup if they so choose to.
Software and apps:
Talking about the software side of things, the Mi TV 4X (55) 2020 Edition comes with Google’s latest Android TV 9.0 OS. It includes support for Google Assistant, YouTube, Chromecast, Google Play Store, etc from which you can connect to Google’s voice assistant in case of problems, play youtube videos, cast your phone or laptop screen to the TV, play music, etc. It also has a handy Data Saver mode feature built-in.

Mi LED TV 4A PRO:
Display and Connectivity:Mi
The Mi LED TV 4A PRO, on the other hand, comes with a more modest 43-inch screen. It supports 1080p Full HD resolution, with other further software optimizations to make TV viewing an even better experience. The box comes with a simple 12-button Bluetooth Mi Remote included. The Remote control pairs seamlessly with the TV and don’t pose a lot of problems that may come from using a remote control of a different brand.
Audio and speakers:
The Mi LED TV 4A Pro sports a dual 20W stereo speaker setup. With DTS-HD surround sound technology, the audio of this TV feels very all-round with a comfortable but still natural feeling surround-sound experience in the comfort of a user’s room. It aims to bring cinematic experience to the consumers’ home while still aiming to come at a more affordable price.
“We are thrilled to introduce a brand new category to our product portfolio in Nepal with the launch of these two exciting TVs,” boasts Saurav Kothari, Country General Manager for Xiaomi Nepal. “With our content first philosophy, we hope to bring each Mi TV user a unique experience with a personalized interface.
