Mivi Collar Classic Pro Review
The Mivi Collar Classic Pro neckband offers a premium design with a sturdy build and comfortable wear. Sound quality is decent with strong bass and satisfactory instrumental separation. Connectivity may pose occasional issues, especially for gaming. Call quality is good, and the mic mute feature works intermittently. Battery life is commendable, though advertised splash and dustproof features are unclear. Overall, it's a solid choice for its price range.

Mivi a popular accessories brand from India launched the Mivi Collar Classic Pro neckband in Nepal back in 2023. In this article, we will be reviewing the Collar Classic Pro neckband that comes with decent performance. We will be learning how this neckband performs in the real world. Let’s get started.
Mivi Collar Classic Pro Review
Packaging
The neckband packaging appears typical of Mivi products at first glance, but it boasts higher-quality packaging than others in the lineup. Adorned with Mivi branding and key product features, it exudes a sense of sophistication. Upon opening, you’ll find paperwork, the neckband itself, a set of ear tips, and a charging cable neatly arranged inside.
Design
The neckband design exudes a premium aesthetic and offers a pleasant tactile experience. Its striking red and black color scheme adds to its appeal. Constructed with a sturdy rubber body and featuring a soft rubber texture, the band ensures both durability and comfort. Even during extended use, its lightweight design remains comfortable, making it ideal for prolonged wear.
Sound
During testing, the sound output was robust, emitting a pleasant, loud tone. I typically set the audio level between 30% to 40% for both music and overall sound, experiencing no distortion issues. Even at maximum volume, the performance remained satisfactory without any noticeable drawbacks. The sound quality is generally decent, with commendable bass and instrumental separation. Additionally, the low highs in the neckband are satisfactory. However, individual preferences may influence the overall impression of the sound quality.

Connectivity
It features Bluetooth v5.1, with a connection range of up to 10 meters. However, during our usage, we encountered some connectivity issues. Additionally, when attempting to play games with this neckband, we noticed occasional latency, especially during intense gaming sessions. Therefore, if you’re looking for a neckband specifically for gaming, it might be advisable to consider wired earphones, headphones, or dedicated gaming neckbands such as the Mivi Commando X9.
Call Quality
If we talk about the call quality of this neckband, it feels quite good. The person on the other end of the call could hear our voices clearly, and the microphones performed well during our usage. Now, after listening to this, you can decide for yourself the quality of the microphone by hearing the recorded voice from Mivi’s Collar Classic Pro neckband.
Functionality
After learning about the neckband sound, design, and audio quality, let’s look at the neckband functionality part. It comes with normal functionality like call receive/reject, play/pause, volume up/down, and assistance activate. One of the most interesting features of this product is that you can mute and unmute the mic during a call by double-tapping the middle button. In practice, this feature seems feasible, but when I tested it, multiple times the call got disconnected instead. The functionalities of this neckband are operated by button presses.

Battery & Other Features
According to the company, it claims to have 72 hours of battery backups. In our usage, we typically charged this neckband every 7-8 days, and today it reached 30-40% battery. Therefore, this neckband does support fast charging.
It says “Splash and Dustproof” as a highlighted feature in this neckband, but we didn’t come across this information during our meeting, nor did we find it mentioned on Mivi’s website or in their booklet. However, Mivi’s other products often come with an IPX5 rating, which implies they can withstand normal workouts, hiking, and similar activities, but it’s not recommended to use them during heavy rain or while swimming.
Conclusion
In conclusion, this neckband indeed offers decent sound quality and a good battery backup. Consequently, its built quality is also impressive. Therefore, if you’re looking for a neckband around 2500, this one could be a good choice.
