MSI has announced a new line of laptops powered by MSI Intel’s 12th Gen laptop with H series processors.
At CES 2022, MSI unveiled a new line of laptops with Intel H-series CPUs up to the 12th generation. Meanwhile, the new laptops are, intended for gamers and content makers. It includes a Meta-ready logo (which refers to the metaverse) and is to have much-improved CPU performance over prior versions. In the meantime, it will soon be available in Nepal. So, here we will go through the MSI 12th generation Intel laptops’ specifications, features, and availability in Nepal.
MSI Intel’s 12th Gen laptop Overview:
Stealth
MSI Stealth GS77 features a 17.3-inch full-HD (1,920×1,080 pixels).Likewise, the IPS display with a 360Hz refresh rate and measures 397.6×283.5x 20.1–20.8mm, and weighs 2.8kg.
MSI Stealth GS66 also offers QHD and ultra-HD displays which, feature a 15.6-inch full-HD IPS (1,920×1,080 pixels) with a 360Hz refresh rate. It measures 358.3x248x 18.3 to 19.8mm and weighs 2.1kg.
Moving on, they come with an Intel Core i9-12900H processor and an Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti laptop graphics card. In addition, it has Up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM and 1TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage.
Other notable features include a fingerprint reader, SteelSeries RGB gaming keyboard, and a 99.9Whr battery. Moreover, it has Thunderbolt 4 ports, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, and an HDMI port.
Raider
The MSI Raider GE76 has a 17-inch screen, whereas the MSI Raider GE66 has a 15.6-inch screen. Similarly, the Raider series offers a variety of display configurations, ranging from full-HD 360Hz to ultra-HD 120Hz. On the full-HD (1,920×1,080 pixels) variant, the Raider GE66 has the highest refresh rate. Both laptops contain a webcam with a resolution of 1080p. MSI Raider GE76 weighs 2.9kg and measures 397x284x25.9mm, while MSI Raider GE66 measures 358x267x 23.4mm and weighs 2.38kg.
Moving on, the Raider GE76/ GE66 features the latest 12th Gen Intel laptop CPUs, up to the Core i9 12900HK. Like the previous models, these have up to RTX 3080Ti graphics, 32GB of DDR5 RAM, and 1TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage. The laptop also boasts a 99.9Whr battery and an RGB per-key keyboard.
Vector
Moving on, the MSI Vector GP76 has a 17.3-inch QHD (2,560×1,440 pixels)display with a 240Hz refresh rate. Meanwhile, you may select between a 15.6-inch QHD (2,560×1,440 pixels) IPS display with a 165Hz refresh rate and a 15.6-inch full-HD (1,920×1,080 pixels) IPS display with a 240Hz refresh rate on the vanilla Vector GP66.
Moving on, the Vector G76 and GP66 models are available, with up to an Intel 12th Gen Core i9 CPU.
Additionally, they have a 65Whr battery and a 720p HD webcam. The Vector GP76 weighs 2.9kg and measures 397x284x25.9mm. The Vector GP66 weighs 2.38kg and measures 358x267x23.4mm.
Crosshair

Moving on to display, Crosshair 17 has a 17.3-inch full-HD (1,920×1,080 pixels) IPS with a refresh rate of 360Hz. Meanwhile, the laptop is 398x273x27.2mm and weighs 2.6kg.
On the other hand, the Crosshair 15 and Rainbow Six Extraction Edition boost the same features with a 15.6-inch QHD (2,560×1,440 pixels) IPS display with a 165Hz refresh rate. Likewise, the laptop is 359x259x26.9mm and weighs 2.25kg.
As for performance, the Crosshair 17 and Crosshair 15 versions provide up to an Intel 12th Gen Core i9 processor and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti GPU. Likewise, up to a 12th Gen Intel Core i9-12900H processor and RTX 3070 graphics are supported with the Crosshair 15 Rainbow Six Extraction Edition.
Furthermore, the series features a futuristic appearance and unique sci-fi aspects to enhance your gaming experience. Additionally, the laptops run by 90Whr batteries.
Pulse
MSI also updated the MSI Pulse GL76 and GL66 laptops. Meanwhile, it features a 17.3-inch full-HD (1,920×1,080 pixels) IPS display with a 360Hz refresh rate and a 15.6-inch full-HD (2,560×1,440 pixels) IPS display with a 165Hz refresh rate.
Both laptops run Windows 11 Home and are powered by Intel Core i9-12900H processors with Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 graphics and up to 64GB of RAM.
Furthermore, they come with two stereo speakers and a gaming keyboard with RGB backlighting. They also have a 90Whr battery. In addition, the MSI Pulse GL76 weighs 2.6kg and dimensions 398x273x24.2mm. The Pulse GL66 weighs 2.25kg and measures 359x259x23.9mm.
Sword and Katana
MSI’s gaming laptops, the Sword 15, Katana GF76, and Katana GF66. The Katana GF76 has 17.3-inch full-HD (1,920×1,080 pixels) IPS display with a 144Hz refresh rate.
Likewise, the katana GF66 boasts a 15.6-inch FHD IPS display with up to 240Hz refresh rate. Moreover, MSI Sword 15 and MSI Katana GF66 are 2.25kg and measure 359x259x24.9mm. However, the Katana GF76 gaming laptop weighs 2.26kg and measures 398x273x25.2mm.
As for performance, they come with up to 12th Gen Intel Core i7-12700H CPUs and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 GPUs.
Additionally, they come with 53.5Whr batteries and have identical specs and connectivity options as other MSI gaming laptops.
Creator Z17, Z16P, Z16
The Creator Z17, Z16P, and Z16 are also part of MSI’s Creator family of laptops.
The Creator Z17 will be offered with a Core i9-12900H chipset, RTX 3080Ti GPU, and 64GB DDR5 RAM and will be the world’s first 17-inch laptop to feature pen touch.
The Z16P and Z16 have a 16-inch IPS panel with QHD+ resolution. The former has a Core i9-12900H processor with an RTX 3080Ti mobile GPU, while the latter has a Core i7-12700H processor and an RTX 3060 graphics card. All of the laptops in the Creator series have a 16:10 aspect ratio screen that accepts touch inputs.
Availability
These laptops were announced at CES 2022, and the business has yet to reveal their availability or pricing. MSI Intel’s 12th Gen laptops will be available in Nepal at the same time as the rest of the world.
