HMD Global has taken the wraps off of their new entry-level smartphone- the Nokia C01 Plus. Making a debut at RUB 6,490, ($90 or €75), here’s what the phone has on offer.
Nokia C01 Plus Overview
Display and Build:
Like we have expected of entry-level smartphones, it gets a plastic build with thick bezels. There’s a 5.45” inch IPS LCD panel upfront 720×1440 pixels resolution which giving it an 18:9 aspect ratio.
Underneath the Hood:
Powering the mobile phone is the Unisoc SC9863A chipset, coupled with 1GB RAM. There’s 16GB of onboard storage which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD. There’s no physical fingerprint scanner, but Nokia has thrown in Face unlock.

Cameras and Software:
This is where the older aesthetics and an entry-level SoC hurts a little less, as the Nokia C01 Plus runs Android 11 (Go Edition).
As for the cameras, there’s a single 5MP camera with an LED flash to the rear and a 5MP selfie shooter with an LED flash to the front as well.
Connectivity, Battery, and Charging:
On the connectivity front, the phone gets dual SIM support (3G and 4G), Wi-Fi b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth v4.20, Micro-USB, and FM radio (requires 3.5mm headphone to be plugged in).
Nokia C01 Plus gets a 3,000mAh battery that charges over micro USB.

Pricing and Availability:
The device is available in two colors- Purple and Blue. The Nokia C01 Plus is currently on pre-order at the Nokia Russia online store for RUB6,490 which is equal to $90 or €75. Considering its international pricing, we expect the Nokia C01 Plus to be priced around NRs.10,000 if and when it comes to Nepal.
