The new Oppo Band has just launched in China, along with the much-awaited Reno 4 series. The oppo band will be available in three different models. The Oppo Band, Oppo Band Fashion Edition, and Oppo Band EVA Edition. According to the Oppo, all three versions have a 1.1-inch 2.5D curved AMOLED glass display. This looks not only pretty neat but also provides decent protection from scratches and drops.

The device will feature 160+ dial designs, a heart rate monitor, SpO2 sensor (blood oxygen level meter), app notifications, phone and message controls, music controls, stopwatch, and alarm. To top all this off, a handy ‘find my phone’ feature is also available. What’s more, the device is waterproof, too, with a verified 5ATM water resistance rating. The regular Oppo Band will have a plastic casing. The Oppo Band Fashion Edition, on the other hand, will sport a fancy stainless steel body with TPU and alloy band. The EVA, or Evangelion Edition, will be a collector’s piece, inspired by the popular anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion.

The Oppo band can pair with devices running Android 6.0 or iOS 10, and higher, via Bluetooth 5.0. It runs on the Apollo 3 chipset.

Pricing and Availability:

The Oppo Band price starts at 199 Yuan ($28) for the classic Oppo Band, 249 Yuan ($35) for the Fashion variant, and 299 Yuan ($42) for the Oppo Band EVA. It’s currently only available for purchase in China. The Oppo Band, Price-wise, and feature-wise, this new wearable from Oppo seems to have huge potential. Above all, in its price point, it could compete with other products like the Mi Band 4 or the Redmi Band currently dominating the market right now.
