The company releases a new budget smartphone, Poco 55. After, recently unveiling its X5 and X5 Pro smartphone (while refreshing its mid-range X-series).

The Poco C55 is essentially a rebranded Redmi 12C, although Poco has made some changes to distinguish it. It features a back panel made of synthetic leather and the company’s signature black bar that extends across the width of the device, housing the cameras and fingerprint sensor. The frame is made of plastic, typical for a budget phone.
The front of the phone boasts a 6.71-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution and a 120Hz touch sampling rate, although the refresh rate is not specified.
The screen is protected by Panda glass and has a brightness of 500 nits. The Poco C55 is also rated IP52 for water splash resistance and comes in three colors with a leather-like texture – Cool Blue, Power Black, and Forest Green.

It is powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 Processor, which is a powerful and cost-effective option. It has six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores and two high-performance Cortex-A75 cores, providing reliable daily performance, as well as handling light to medium gaming settings.
The phone is available with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage. Along with a dual camera system, consisting of a 50MP primary sensor and a depth sensor. It also has a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

The Poco C55 is going to be available in India for INR 9,499 for the 4/64GB variant and INR 10,999 for the 6/128GB model, with a special first-day discount of Rs. 1000 for both memory configurations. The smartphone is also expected to launch in Nepal at a starting price of NPR 18,000.
