Redmi AirDots lineup has got their new successor in the form of AirDots 3 Pro. It does bear the common trait of Redmi i.e. affordability, but the new AirDots 3 Pro is the first TWS earbuds to feature active noise cancellation. It has been launched in China and is being marketed as the cheapest earbuds with ANC (Active Noise Cancellation). But there’s more to a pair of earbuds than ANC, let’s find out the “more” here.
Redmi AirDots 3 Overview
For starters, the buds are build out of plastic which keeps them pretty lightweight and each bud weighs on at just 4.9 gms. These are in-ear style earbuds and feature ANC while sporting a 9mm driver. The ANC cuts down the environmental noise by up to 35dB. Regardless of the weight and smaller footprint, they support touch gestures for calls and media playback. Is it just me or is it really that the case looks a lot like that of the pixel buds.
P.S. The charging case also supports multiple-sized ear tips.
The new Redmi AirDots 3 Pro gets Bluetooth 5.2 for connectivity. Redmi has thrown in support for MIUI quick connection as well. Having Bluetooth 5.2 onboard makes way for dual device connectivity as well as lower latency, with a dedicated gaming mode that takes the latency down to just 69ms.

Battery life and Charging:
Redmi claims 6 hours of usage on a single charge for the actual buds and an additional 28 hours backed by the provided case. The charging/carrying case takes in USB-C for charging with support for quick-charge as well which gives you 3 hrs of usage within 10 minutes of plugging in. The support for wireless charging serves as the icing on the cake.
Pricing and Availability:
The Redmi AirDots 3 Pro comes in two different colors-crystal ash and obsidian black with a price tag of CNY 299 which converts to NRs.5500. But the availability is yet to be announced outside of China, so you’ll have to wait.
