Xiaomi Nepal has finally announced the launch of the Redmi Note 9 in Nepal today. This is the second phone in the Note 9 series to be launched in Nepal. It is a follow-up to the much-hyped Redmi Note 9 Pro, which has gained a lot of love since its recent release. In this article, we will go over the specs and Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Price in Nepal.
Redmi Note 9: Quad-cameras and a Massive battery
Design and Display:
The Redmi Note 9 has a premium look and feel to it. With a modern-looking 6.5″ IPS LCD punch-hole display, the screen looks sleek and beautiful. The bezels on the side are quite thin as well. This gives it a seamless look that seems to have gathered quite a trend among smartphones these days.
But despite this modern look, the build of the phone is made of plastic, compared to the Glass back on the Note 9 Pro. This is a bummer as it hurts the ‘premium’ smartphone experience a tad. But that being said, it still looks pretty neat and also grips well in your hands, so it’s not really that much of a big deal.
Quad-Camera Bonanza:
Xiaomi is not one to compromise on the camera section, and this quad-camera hotshot seems to prove the point. On the front, we have the small punch-holed ‘DotDisplay,’ holding a powerful 13MP AI-enabled selfie camera. While the camera doesn’t seem to be quite as robust or adaptive as the Note 9 Pro’s selfie snapper, it does the job more than finely.
The stylish new rear camera setup is where the money’s at, though. With a powerful 48MP primary snapper (Wide), an 8MP Ultrawide lens, and a 2MP Macro lens and Depth sensor respectively, the Redmi Note 9 hands an entire mobile photography toolbox in the user’s palm. But again, the detail on the Pro is slightly better, along with the Noise reduction.
The colors seem to be a bit oversaturated too, with the clicks on the Normal mode almost appearing a bit… ‘unnatural.’ However, this can easily be fixed and made a whole lot better with a little fine tweaking in the settings. The beautiful cinematic portraits make it worth it.
Taking about videography, the Note 9 doesn’t capture 4k videos like the Note 9 Pro, but still supports 1080p video capture at 30fps. The videos are shot at a 2.39:1 aspect ratio, which is also the aspect ratio most commonly used in modern films and documentaries.

Hardware and Performance – A Helio Homerun:
The Redmi Note 9 comes with the MediaTek Helio G85 processor, making it the world’s first smartphone to feature this new chipset. Why should you care? The MediaTek Helio G85’s 2x A75, 6x A55, and ARM G52 MC2 CPUs offer an ultra-smooth day-to-day performance without any lags or delays. The Manhattan 3.0 GPU handles all the user’s gaming needs with ease.
Ginormous battery:
But let’s be honest. You can’t have a good gaming session without a big battery to back it up. Xiaomi seems to be taking the ‘Go Big or Go Home’ motto to heart recently, especially when it comes to batteries. The Redmi Note 8 had a giant 5000 mAh battery, and the Note 9 doesn’t disappoint either. With an adaptive 5020 mAh battery, the battery easily lasts a day, even with bursts of heavy use. The 22.5W fast charger comes packed in the box, which makes it ideal for users always on the go.
