Samsung Galaxy A12 Nacho was announced in Russia last week. While there already was a Samsung Galaxy A12 available, it used an Helio P35 chipset. What set the Nacho apart was the Exynos chipset that powers the device. History lessons aside, the Samsung Galaxy A12 Nacho is finally available for the Nepali market with the Galaxy A12 label without the Nacho in it. Here’s what the Samsung Galaxy A12 “Exynos Edition” in Nepal has to offer.
Samsung Galaxy A12 “Exynos Edition” Overview:
Build and Display:
Since it is a budget-oriented device, the build is what you’d come to expect of it. A plastic frame holds the plastic black and the glass front together. Upfront is a 6.5” inch PLS IPS panel with 720×1600 pixels resolution i.e. HD+. The 20:9 aspect ratio of the device makes for an 82.1% screen-to-body ratio. The design is pretty much the same as the regular A12.
The back gets a dual-tone textured finish and can be had in Blue, Red, and Black colors.

Performance and Memory:
The significant changes lie underneath the hood and the Samsung Galaxy A12 “Exynos Edition” is powered by an Exynos 850 SoC instead of the Helio P35 (12nm) on the regular A12. This is an octa-core processor fabricated on the 8nm process and features two clusters of A55 cores with 4 cores each, clocked at 2.0GHz.
This is then paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard eMMC 5.1 storage further expandable via a dedicated microSD card slot.
Mali-G52 GPU handles the graphics duties here.
Cameras:
The cameras have been borrowed from the regular A12 and it is the same quad-camera setup to the rear. A 48MP f/2.0 primary, paired with a secondary 5MP f/2.2 ultrawide and two 2MP sensors pulling off the macro and depth functions.
On the selfie front, there’s an 8MP f/2.2 sensor housed in the dewdrop notch of the display panel.
Rest of the Specs:
Powering up the internals is a 5000mAh battery with support for 15Watt fast charging via USB-C. The Samsung Galaxy A12 runs One UI (Core) built on top of Android 11 and has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner baked into the power button.
