Before we dive into the review, it’s important to note that these buds’ official price in Nepal is Rs. 2,499. Now, let’s get started.
Ultima Atom 192 Review
Packaging
The packaging for the Ultima Atom 192 is designed as a card box style with prominent Ultima branding. It showcases the key features of the earbuds. Inside the packaging, you’ll discover the earbuds themselves along with charging cables, silicone ear tips, and informative documentation.
Design & Feel
The cases feature a standard design with Ultima branding and a light indicator that also serves as a battery gauge on the front. They are equipped with a USB Type-C port at the bottom. The earbuds are lightweight and comfortable for extended wear. They come with IPX4 water resistance, suitable for regular activities like workouts, hiking, and trekking, but not recommended for use in heavy rain or while swimming.
Performance & Sound
The earbuds offer standard features found in other earbuds within the same price range. These include functions like play/pause, call answering/rejection, and skipping tracks, which can be controlled through single taps, multiple taps, or long presses. Additionally, they come with Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) powered by the ENx Tech algorithm, which enhances call quality by default. While they lack dedicated ENC for music, their in-ear design typically mitigates noise issues. Despite being affordable, these earbuds boast a gaming mode called “beast mode,” which reportedly reduces latency to just 55 milliseconds.
When it comes to the crucial element of sound quality in earbuds, the Ultima Atom 192 stands out. It offers a balanced sound with a respectable bass and clear separation of instruments. Both high and low frequencies perform well, and even at high volume levels, there were no noticeable issues with distortion.
Connectivity
Equipped with Bluetooth v5.3, this device boasts impressive range capabilities. During testing, whether making calls or streaming music from separate rooms, there were no instances of disconnection or audio delays. As for sound quality, you can judge for yourself whether it’s good, mediocre, or outstanding.
Furthermore, the products do not support multi-device connectivity.
Battery
It delivers good battery capacity, which provides 4 to 4.5 hours of battery backup in typical (normal) uses on a single charge. Additionally, the case included earbuds that allowed for up to four times the full charges. Moreover, these earbuds support fast charging, as claimed by the company. According to their claim, just a 5-minute charge can provide up to 75 minutes of playback.
Conclusion
To sum up, while the Ultima Atom 192 lacks multi-device connectivity, having this feature would have made it even better. Nonetheless, it still offers great sound quality and durability. Therefore, if you’re considering TWS earbuds in the NPR 2000 ranges, this could be among your top choices.
