Recently launched Vivo X Fold 2, along with Vivo X Flip is the first clamshell smartphone produced by the company. The X Fold 2 comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Chip, Triple – Zeiss Coating Lenses, and Ultrasonic fingerprint scanner for security.

It weighs only 280g and measures 13mm thick when folded, and 6-6.7mm thick when unfolded. The hinge has also undergone 400,000 folding tests and has an improved water drop diameter of 5.0mm.
However, similar to the original X Fold, the phone does not come with any waterproofing certifications. It is available in three colors: China Red, Azure Blue, and String Shadow Black.
The phone’s primary display is an 8.03-inch E6 AMOLED 2K resolution screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a maximum brightness of 1800 nits. The cover display is a 6.53-inch E6 2K resolution AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1600 nits of maximum brightness. Both displays feature fingerprint scanners for biometric security.

Performance
As for performance, it is powered by the latest flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, which is manufactured using a 4nm process.
The octa-core CPU consists of one Cortex-X3 (clocked at 3.2 GHz), two Cortex-A715 (clocked at 2.8 GHz), two Cortex-A710 (clocked at 2.8 GHz), and three Cortex-A510 (clocked at 2.0 GHz) cores. The chipset also features an Adreno 740 GPU for handling graphics, and VC cooling technology to regulate thermal performance.
Likewise, the X Fold 2 comes with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 internal storage. The phone runs on Android 13 with Origin OS Ocean on top.

Cameras
A triple camera setup on its back, which includes a 50MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and OIS, along with two 12MP lenses for taking telephoto and ultrawide shots.
The phone also incorporates Vivo’s in-house V2 ISP and ZEISS optimization, found in high-end Vivo devices. Both the primary and cover displays have a 16MP front-facing camera for capturing selfies.
Battery & Other Features
It comes with two 2400mAh batteries that combine to provide a total capacity of 4800mAh. The phone comes with a 120W wired charger and a 50W wireless charger for fast charging.
In terms of wireless connectivity, the phone supports triple-band WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and GPS. The X Fold 2 also features a dual speaker system with Dolby Atmos for an enhanced audio experience.
