After the launch of the flagship Xiaomi Mi 11, Xiaomi Nepal has backed it up with a mid-ranger the Mi 11 Lite. There’s a lot of difference to both of these smartphones as they represent two different price points. All they share in common is the Mi 11 series tag. Now that it’s finally available in Nepal, let’s see what the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite has to offer.
Mi 11 Lite Overview:
Build and Display:
The Mi 11 Lite features a glass sandwich design with a plastic frame. While the front 6.55” inch AMOLED panel with 90Hz refresh gets Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, the glass on the back is unspecified. The display panel used here gets 10-bit color, HDR10 support, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 500nits of brightness, and a 1080x2400p resolution. With High Brightness Mode, the display brightness peaks at 800 nits. There’s a hole-punch cutout to accommodate the selfie shooter.
The Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite weighs 157grams and measures a mere 6.81mm in terms of thickness. This makes the Mi 11 Lite the lightest of the bunch, surpassing its own 5G sibling-Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G by 2 grams.
Performance and Memory:
At the helm of the device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G SoC, this is not a 5G chip(like the Mi 11 Lite 5G)- instead, it has to make do with 4G. It is an octa-core chipset fabricated on an 8nm FinFET process. This is then coupled with 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64 or 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The graphics are handled by Adreno 618GPU.
Cameras:
The Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite houses a triple camera setup to the rear, with a 64MP f/1.8 primary. The secondary shooter is an 8MP ultrawide sensor with a 119° Field of View, and the third one is a 5MP tele-macro lens. The device is capable of recording 4K videos at 30fps and 1080p videos at 30/60/120fps.
The front camera is a 16MP selfie shooter which resides in the hole-punch cutout. The selfie camera gets 1080p@30fps and 720p@120 fps video recording.
Audio and Connectivity:
Xiaomi has given the Mi 11 Lite the dual speaker treatment with Hi-Res Audio but omits the 3.5mm headphone jack. The Mi 11 Lite gets WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, and an IR blaster up top on the connectivity front. P.S. Xiaomi does provide USB-C to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter.
