Acer Swift 5 2022 Overview
Display & Built
The latest version of Acer’s Swift 5, released in 2022, features a 14-inch touchscreen with a modern 16:10 aspect ratio. This is a significant improvement from the previous version’s 16:9 ratio. The screen has a high WQXGA resolution and covers 100% of the sRGB color space. Likewise, the display is protected by antimicrobial Corning Gorilla Glass.
Its FHD webcam is backed by Acer’s in-house Temporal Noise Reduction solution, as well as AI Noise Reduction and PurifiedVoice, all of which aim to enhance video call quality.

Keyboard and Touchpad Features
For the Keyboard parts, it has a unique keyboard design that raises slightly to allow more air to flow into the fans, and also improves airflow through the gaps between the keys. The keyboard is white-backlit and features a fingerprint scanner embedded in the power key.
The touchpad is made out of a material called OceanGlass, which is a glass-like plastic material recycled from ocean waste.
Cooling Function & Performances
The Swift 5 (2022) has been upgraded with a new cooling system called “TwinAir Cooling” which includes two heat sinks and two heat pipes that help dissipate heat more effectively. This new system improves the laptop’s thermal performance by up to 65.8% compared to its predecessor.
The upgraded laptop also features the hybrid architecture of Intel Alder Lake P-series processors, which offer up to a 47% performance boost. You can choose between two 12th Gen CPUs: Core i5-1240P and Core-1260P.
It comes with up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM clocked at 4800MHz, but unfortunately, the memory is not upgradeable since it’s soldered into the motherboard. However, you can upgrade the storage up to 2TB using a user-accessible PCIe Gen 4 SSD slot.
Battery & Other Features
Powering the laptop is a 56Wh Li-Ion battery that can last up to 10 hours. It also supports fast charging that can provide 4 hours of endurance in just 30 minutes.
The laptop has two Thunderbolt 4 ports with USB 4 and Power Delivery charging on the right, as well as an HDMI 2.1 and a USB Type-A port. On the left, there is another USB Type-A port, a Kensington lock, and an audio jack. The laptop also supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 for wireless connectivity.
