Inside, it is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. This chip is said to offer a 20% increase in energy efficiency compared to its predecessor OnePlus 11 smartphone, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 which is currently the flagship chip.
As per the rumor, the device has the most significant upgrades in its camera segment. It will feature a triple camera module, which will comprise a 50MP Sony IMX890 primary sensor (similar to the OnePlus 11), a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a groundbreaking 64MP periscope zoom camera. Although specific details are not available, it is expected to have a 64MP OmniVision sensor. The periscope zoom camera would be the first for OnePlus.

For the battery and charging capabilities, the device is said to robust 5000mAh battery that will support 100W SuperVOOC fast charging. In that case, this combination should provide users with extended usage time and quick charging convenience.
Though the information given above may not be officially concluded, and the final product may be very different as per the early structural performances the phone should be an upgraded version of its predecessor and better in camera segments. The upcoming phone is likely to be released in the Chinese market first, possibly around 2023 December, followed by a global launch a few months later.
