OnePlus is a company which manufactures powerful phones for the tech fans on the budget. Since the company comes into existence, the company has manufactured some powerful smartphones against big-name rivals with the first-class look, feel and performance. OnePlus 6 is that smartphone whose specs comfortably match with its rivals in the markets which costs more than the OnePlus’s latest “flagship killer”.
OnePlus 6 comes with a glass body which is protected by Corning Gorilla 5 on both front and back side of the phone, which is quite tough and the phone is wrapped into frames horizon line which makes phone slim and gives attractive look while holding the phone in hand. Seeing the phone from the right, we will find three position switch which lets us to quickly choose between the volume on, vibrate and silent mode without accessing mobile UI.
On the left side of the phone, we can find volume rocker button and dual sim card slot. On the down portion of the phone, we can find USB type C-port as well as a 3.5mm audio jack which is getting rare in flagships. Talking about the front side of the phone, OnePlus 6 has got a larger 6.28-inch bezel-less display with an aspect ratio of 19:9 with Optic AMOLED screen and has a resolution of 2280×1080 pixels with 402ppi pixel density. The top of the screen is similar to iPhone X and houses an earpiece, proximity sensor, notification light and a 16MP front camera.
Talking about the processor inside OnePlus 6, it has latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC Octa-core processor with the clock speed of 2.8GHz (4 cores) and 1.7GHz (4 cores) which make the phone blazing fast. With the latest Snapdragon processor, the phone comes with two RAM options(6GB/8GB) and three storage variants (64GB/128GB/256GB) combined with Adreno 630 GPU for gaming and graphics related work. OnePlus 6 costs Rs 71,000 in Nepal for the 6GB RAM variant with 64GB onboard internal memory. In my view, the phone is overpriced compared to the International market as OnePlus 6 was launched for $529 which is around Rs.56920.4 (1$ = Rs 107.60) in Nepalese currency. And similarly, in India, the same variant was launched for 34,999 which is Rs.55,998.4 after converting it in Nepalese currency. It is really disappointing to see an overpriced phone from a company which has a motto of providing high-quality phone at an affordable price
