Following the hype of the release of Oppo F11 and F11 Pro versions in India, there has been much anticipation about its release in Nepal as well. After a long time, the wait is finally over. As an added bonus to the Oppo F11 and F11 Pro, Oppo Nepal has also announced the Pro Marvel Avengers variant for the F11 line.

Sounds pretty cool, right?

“Will it be made of Captain America’s shield material?”, I hear you ask. “Or will it burst into fractals when I snap my fingers???” Sorry to break it to you, but no. It does have some pretty nifty features than the Pro and normal variant though, so hold on to your horses!

Oppo F11 and F11 pro overview:

The Oppo F11 and F11 pro are the new kids in the mid-range smartphone block and have a lot of things they want to bring to the game. Released in March of 2019, these phones definitely follow Oppo’s motto of capturing beautiful pictures. They boast an overwhelming (48+5)MP for the normal and (48+16)MP dual camera setup in the rear end for the Pro variant. On the front side, it has a 16MP selfie rising camera. Along with its large aperture of the rear cameras, AI image processing, and rising camera design, it really sets it apart from the generics. The rising camera mechanism, in particular, aids in making selfies look more natural and less distorted, according to Oppo.

These come in two shades: Thunder black and Aurora Green. Followed by the smooth symmetrical design with a 6.35 x 3.00 x 0.35″ panoramic screen, it’s quite a beauty to look at.

Oppo F11 Pro

Oppo has decided to go with the Mediatek Helio P70 (12nm) chipset along with an octa-core CPU and Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. This allows it for smooth performance while playing games and switching between multiple apps. They come with 4 solid gigs of RAM for the normal and 6GB for the Pro variant and 64GB internal storage. The internal storage, of course, is extendible with a micro SD card (up to 256 GB).

On the software side of things, we have the company’s ColorOS 6 running on top of Android Pie 9.0. With its borderless design, this is a very neat OS to use and packs a variety of features. Also, the phone’s AI image processing helps in clicking crisp and vivid pictures.

What’s different in the Pro Marvel Avengers Edition though?

The Pro Marvel variant of the phone is a limited edition smartphone that Oppo has partnered with Marvel Studios to design. It will be launched this Friday to commemorate the release of Avengers: Endgame movie. While it doesn’t have Jarvis running on it, it does have some features that set it apart from the Pro variant. In terms of screen size, dimensions, and front camera, it is pretty much similar to the Pro. However, it will pack a larger 128GB internal storage.

As is standard for limited edition pieces, it will also come in a special Marvel themed packaging with some extra visual features. However, opposed to the two shades available for Pro, it will only come in one color scheme: Space blue, with an Avengers logo and the power button with a red accent. It is also likely to be shipped with a few cool Endgame posters as well, along with a cool Captain America themed case for the phone.

Pricing and availability:

The F11 normal variant is set at a mid-range price of NRs 37,990, and the Pro with a higher price point of NRs. 47,990. The Marvel edition of the phone comes at only a slightly higher price of NRs. 49,990 however it’s a limited edition smartphone so you’ll have to grab it early if you want one. All of the models will be available in retail and online stores from the 29th of April.

How well did you like the idea of a Marvel themed design? Who are you rooting for, in Endgame? Leave those in the comments below(no sharing spoilers though!!!).
