Xiaomi has officially released MIUI 13 in India. It is the company’s next major software upgrade for its own Android skin. Meanwhile, the company unveiled MIUI 13 based on Android 12 alongside the Xiaomi 12 series back in December. This latest version of its custom Android interface will run on Android 12. Similarly, it will include several customizations to help make the interface stand out.

On the other hand, the company plans to push out MIUI 13 globally to Mi users starting in the first quarter of 2022. Meanwhile, India has officially received the MIUI 13 starting today. Without further delay, let’s look into its features and compatible devices.

MIUI 13 based on Android 12 Top Features

The Android 12-based MIUI 13 boasts a redesigned interface, advanced privacy features, and improved performance. Here’s everything you need to know about some of the changes in MIUI 13.

Similarly, there are several widget panels to choose from, while you can adjust the size and appearance of the widgets similar to iOS 14. Aside from that, the new MIUI 12 based on Android 12 comes with several new live wallpapers.

Xiaomi claims that MIUI 13 would be significantly quicker and more app-fluent than prior versions. According to the company, 3rd-party apps have 15% fewer frame drops, while native apps will have 23% fewer frame drops. Xiaomi also claims that a flagship device can run 14 apps in the background without a performance drop.

Well, there are no POCO devices on the first list. Having been said that, the company has not stated any such things. And it appears that the POCO will receive MIUI 13 updates based on Android 12.
